Can you tell me,why the girl has an eyeball in that flower?

The eyeball is acting as a third eye. the girl is viewing the world as is, the third eye is viewing it as one, all intertwined, and everything relating to another. the background is how the girl's mind/3rd eye interprets what her physical eyes are seeing. the eyeball is also the axis of the clock. time being the overall foundation for both the subject matter and the drawing itself. traditionally the 3rd eye is depicted in the center of the forehead but today's world has no place for traditional beliefs. everything must adapt to now. the flower is simply to make the eyeball ring appear fashionable. i later realized it does play a role as being the only plant life in the entire piece, thus helping to emphasize the importance of the 3rd eye.

black and white charcoal on Canson paper. the paper is double sided with one side having a heavier tooth. there is a large variety of colors to choose from at places like Michael's.
